Lines of a Song Volume 4

Love songs come and go but a few linger in our hearts because of the melody and the words used to create them.

Below are three of them. What makes them stand out ftom the others is that they look into the beauty of love songs, and not of love.

If I sing you a love song, will you always remember?

Will you hear it on lonely nights when I’m not around?

If I sing you a love song, will you hear it forever?

To remind you how much I care, and how I needed you —          “If I Sing You A Love                                                                                                                   Song” — Bonnie Tyler

Here we are again and words are hard to find

But I guess that never was my style

All I have to offer is my song

So I play it well, ‘coz it’s all for you —                 “Just A Love Song” — Walter  Murphy

It can tear you apart, ‘coz a word can break a heart in a love song

They put all the things you feel, and they make it sound so real in a love song

It seems that everything they say is said in such a way

That we believe is true  —                            “In A Love Song” — Lee Greenwood
