British-born American singer-songwriter Rupert Holmes performed and recorded “Touch and Go,” The song is the eighth track in his album “Singles” released in 1976, and is also featured in Rupert’s 1994 compilation album, “The Epoch Collection.”
Born David Goldstein, Rupert adopted a pen name at the start of his career, with Rupert taken from “Rupert the Rabbit, a childhood book series, and Holmes from the fictional detective character Sherlock Holmes. With his nom de plume, Rupert went on to write several hit songs, including “Terminal,” and “Escape.” He also happens to be an accomplished author and playwright.
