Hello.
I’ve decided to return to this site even as my personal and financial issues remain unresolved. With the COVID 19 still a major global threat, I felt that I had to do something in trying to ease the growing public fear for this dreaded disease.
This is my contribution in the worldwide fight to combat COVID 19. I’m hoping that this blog entry will somehow help bring in the needed relief and peace of mind that has become quite elusive to many of us in recent weeks.
COVID 19 has unfortunately unveiled our frailties as man. When it struck and spread rapidly, we began feeling small and vulnerable. Still, we meet people who bring us the needed comfort.
When you’re weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all
I’m on your side
When times get rough
With lockdowns being enforced in many cities across the globe, spending a day at home with nothing to do becomes a difficult task. Making things even harder is discovering that you’re infected or that a loved one or a close friend has become the latest casualty.
Amidst all of these, we feel as if pain is all around us. Still, if we hold on and keep our faith, the light of hope will eventually shine.
When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I’ll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Continue to sail on even as you do so in troubled and even perilous waters. This is our time to shine, an opportunity to show that with faith and fortitude, we can overcome any crisis. If this journey becomes tiring, we can rest in the thought that there is someone sailing along with us.
Sail on Silver Girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine, oh
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Sailing in the dangerous waters of COVID 19? A bridge can be the perfect haven. Find comfort by listening to Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” here:
Inspired by gospel music, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” is the last song recorded by the 70s music duo Simon & Garfunkel. Lifted from the duo’s fifth album of the same name, the song was a worldwide hit, capturing the top spot in the UK, France, New Zealand, and Canada music charts. In the US, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” stayed at number one in Billboard’s Hot 100 for a little over a month.
Grammy-wise, the song was recognized both as Song of the Year and Record of the Year during the awarding body’s 13th annual edition. More than 50 different artists are also known to have covered “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, making it among the most performed songs of the last century.
