Jim Brickman, Mr. Valentine

Let’s continue talking more about Jim Brickman.

Jim is one of the few songwriters in the world who gets to have his name credited on the songs that he creates. Not sure if this was by design but it has worked wonders for ths music genius.

Yet, Jim doesn’t really sings his own songs. Instead, he allows other artists to do the singing for him. The result is a beautiful collaboration of music artistry. and songs that are certified hits.

Speaking of hits, Jim has successfully established a name as a writer of popular love songs. Many of these talk about the beauty of being in love and why love is always worth celebrating. For this reason, I refer to Jim Brickman as Mr. Valentine.

Just take a read at the words used in the following songs oF Jim and you’ll agree that he really deserves to be called Mr. Valentine

“It’s not the flowers wrapped in fancy paper

It’s not the ring I wear around my finger

There’s nothing in all the world I need

When I have you here beside me”                     — Your Love – with Michelle Wright

“Sitting by the fire we made

You’re the answer when I prayed

I would find someone

And baby I found you”                          — The Gift – with Collin  Raye and Susan Ashton

“How did this come to be

I don’t know how you found me

But from the moment I first saw you

Deep inside my heart I knew”                                — My Destiny – with Jordan Hill

If there were no words, no way to speak

I would still hear you

If there were no tears, no way to feel inside
